The Series: Maryville leads 5-2

Last Season’s Meeting: The Pride football team jumped out to early leads of 7-0 and 13-7 at Maryville but were unable to pick up its first win of the year in a 42-20 setback. Greensboro finished the game with 236 yards of total offense, with 200 coming through the air and 36 coming on the ground. The Scots, meanwhile, racked up 535 yards of offense, with the bulk of it coming through the air. The Pride accumulated 15 first downs for the game on offense and forced an interception and a fumble on defense. Quarterback Ryan Throndset connected on 21 of his 36 passing attempts for 200 yards. Warren Scott Jr. added 11 carries for 32 yards on the ground and a score. Dexter Russell Jr. was the top receiving target again with six receptions for 90 yards. Scott also added five catches for 43 yards out of the backfield. Defensively, Allen Stallings tallied another double digit tackle performance with 16 stops and three tackles for loss. Julian Cinotti chipped in with 12 tackles and a half tackle for loss in addition to his interception return.
