High School Football Saturday Morning rewind:Teams were down 14-0 and still battled back to win

At least two teams were down 14-0 last night and they still battled back to win….The Southern Guilford Storm fought back to win in overtime and Northwest Guilford came back to defeat Ragsdale, after trailing 14-0 early in the game…

You have to give a lot of credit to these two teams, for fighting back to get the victories…That is never easy and we need to put more emphasis on the good job that those kids did with comebacks and not so much emphasis on what happened to the teams that lost….Celebrate and congratulate the victors, on a job well done….

And another strong night for Malik Moseley from Southern Guilford with his 178 yards rushing on 31 carries and 3 TD’s for his Storm….That should give Moseley 24 TD’s on the season now and his teammate Reggie Gallaspy picked up 119 yards on the ground….Program-defining win for Southern over Northeast….

Northwest Guilford got a big boost from Eeid Baxter with his 90-yard kickoff return for a TD vs. Ragsdale and Baxter’s teammate Ethan Tingler took a pass interception back 40 yards for another big-play score for Northwest….Big plays for Northwest and the turnovers killed Ragsdale…..

Big win for Dudley over Southeast Guilford with Panther QB Richard Hayes having another big night for the Panthers….Hayes had 174 yards on 30 carries. He went 9-of-16 passing for 111 yards, plus Hayes had 3 TD rushing and passed for another….Hayes is the real deal…

Who would you lean toward for Player of the Year in Guilford County as this stage of the season….Richard Hayes from Dudley, Malik Moseley from Southern Guilford or T.J. Logan from Northern Guilford???

From the reports that I am getting, Logan had three more TD’s for Northern last night and Ryan Johnston also scored 3 TD’s for the Nighthawks, in their win over McMichael….

The Page Pirates still have their sights set on a Metro 4-A title and they now stand at (3-0) in the Metro….Page moved past Smith last night 35-13 with solid numbers from runningback A.J. Capel with 131 yards and 1 TD, plus quarterback Jordan Putnam posted 113 yards passing and he tossed for 2 TD’s….Page at (3-0) Metro and Dudley also stands at (3-0) Metro and the two teams will meet at Page in just two weeks….

More numbers coming in throughout the day and we need some on Western Guilford, more on Morthern Guilford and any others that you can send us….

Keep that question in mind:
Who would be your Player of the Year at this stage of the season???
Richard Hayes(Dudley)
Malik Moseley(Southern Guilford)
T.J. Logan(Northern Guilford)
