College Men’s Soccer Final: Guilford 1, Randolph-Macon 0

ASHLAND, Va.—-Guilford College’s Michael Robles scored the lone goal in a 1-0 Old Dominion Athletic Conference (ODAC) soccer win at Randolph-Macon College.

After a scoreless first half, the Quakers applied pressure in the 65th minute when Randolph-Macon goalkeeper Bradley Moore turned over the ball off a free kick straight into the feet of Robles. Robles then dribbled the ball to the top of the 18-yard box where he fired the shot, giving the Quakers the decisive goal.

The Quakers held a 16-8 advantage on shots after building a 10-3 advantage in the first half. Michael MacVane made two stops in net for his third shutout in four games. Chris Lowe made five saves in the first half for the Yellow Jackets before being relieved by Bradley Moore in the second half.

The Quakers (9-7, 6-4 ODAC) return home for their final regular season game Tuesday when Guilford hosts Hampden-Sydney College at 7 p.m. inside Appenzeller Field at Armfield Athletic Center.
