The Villains came up a yard short against the defending 2AA State Champion West Stokes Wildcats last night in a game that featured a combined 9 turnovers, a defensive score, and a blocked field goal at the end of regulation to force overtime. The Wildcats survived after stopping Villains receiver Joe McNamara on the 1 yard line on 4th down in overtime to prevent the tying score. WR/DB Austin Cancro was the player of the game with 2 INT’s and was credited with the blocked FG. McNamara finished the game with 5 catches for 116 yards, including a 68 yard touchdown catch in the 3rd quarter.
