*****The Panthers lose to the Dallas Cowboys on Sunday, in a game in which they lead and had a very good chance to win and now as they head toward the middle of the season, today the Panthers have fired their general manager and the man that takes the credit or the blame for the product on the field, Marty Hurney is out and it looks like the Panthers are out of the playoffs, again this season…..Sometimes it looks a bit strange to fire your GM at mid-season, but owner Jerry Richardson must have reached a breaking point and he decided to sever ties with Hurney…..*****

The Carolina Panthers have fired general manager Marty Hurney, the team announced Monday morning.

Hurney has been the general manager with the team since 2002, but his seat has become hotter since the 2010 season when the Panthers went 2-14.
