No JV Football, but High School Playoffs start tonight with HP Andrews at home in Simeon

*****The JV Football seasons are complete.*****

High Point Andrews(9-1) at home tonight in Simeon Stadium playing host to Piedmont(5-5) in Round One of the NCHSAA 2-AA football playoffs…Kickoffs are usually set for 7:30pm on Friday night games, but this one may go off at 7pm, since they are playing on a Thursday night/school night….Red Raiders should be a heavy favorite in this, their playoff opener….May get a bit tougher down the road and we are sure it will, but look for HPA to get rolling big in this, their foray into the post-season….As always, best of luck to Andrews, one of our Guilford County teams and with their high seed in the 2-AA West, they could be at home in Simeon Stadium for a long time in these 2012 playoffs….

Time to kick it all off and the fans can’t wait to see the ball in the air, in this, the elimination rounds…It always gets a lot more interesting in a hurry, when everything you worked for the entire season and off-season too for that matter, is ON THE LINE…..

Here is the most recent ‘High Five’ from the High Point Enterprise and Mark McKinney…..First-place votes in parenthesis and total votes out to the side of the parenthetical listing….

1. T.W. Andrews (1) 13

2. HP Central (1) 12

3. Southern Guilford (1) 11

4. Ragsdale 6
