They called this one the shocker in Durham last night with Southeast Guilford taking out Durham Hillside….CLICK HERE to read all….

Here’s a key link on the Chapel Hill win over Fayetteville Byrd in 2 Overtimes….CLICK HERE…Chapel Hill at Northern Guilford next week…

First two links were from the Durham Herald-Sun and here is the key link on Northwest Guilford at Charlotte Independence last night….Patriots win it 45-42 over the Vikings and CLICK HERE from the Charlotte Observer….

Here’s the link on High Point Central falling 15-12 to Mount Tabor last night in High Ppint from the High Point Enterprise…CLICK HERE
Some of the key names and numbers that we have so far…
Reid Baxter 170 yards rushing and 3 TD’s in that NWG game at Independence…
Shakir Turner with 2 TD’s for SEG in their win at Hillside…102 rushing for Turner and Jamal Petty had 82 yards on the ground for SEG…
Will Greene with the 42-yard field goal to win it for the SEG Falcons…SEG scored 10 points in the last 47.5 seconds of the game…
T.J. Logan had 225 all-purpose yards and 4 TD’s for Northern Guilford…The kid has an extra gear when he hits the open field and he has instinct that you don’t see in many high school players…One he picked up a one-hop punt in very tight quarters and took it back all the way…..Man oh man, what a play…Austin Coltrane, Cam Harris, Jamon Reynolds, Ryan Johnston, Malik Parker and CJ Freeman also with big games for the Nighthawks and we gave the Nighthawk offensive line our ‘Player of the Game’ award…We were at this game for the radio, so that is why we have more direct details on this contest…
Richard Hayes III with 2 TD runs and one TD pass for the Dudley Panthers and he also had 2 two-point conversions for the Panthers…His total points scored for the season will be unreal….Moseley brothers, Emmanuel and Edward, also on fire last night for Dudley and good to see Connell Young get on the board…
Jordan Putnam with 3 TD passes for Page and Jalen Gavin with 2 TD runs and it sounds like a big game on defense for Carter Stanley with a pick and another key turnover play and possibly a pick by Grant Brewer too….Solid job by the Pirates as they took over late in the third period…..Thinking Tevin Morrison might have had a couple of big plays for Page also….

No numbers yet on Malik Moseley and Reggie Gallaspy from Southern Gulford, but we are working on that….Saw a few photos from the News and Record and it looked like #25 and #22 were busy….Here we go with Moseley running for 218 yards and 2 TD’s and Gallaspy had 104 yards rushing and 2 touchdowns…

Yes, I missed one when looking at the News and Record on-line site….Got the two up to three now….Good call…

  • Question said,

Aney, some of these guys are putting up some great numbers week after week. Some of these guys have to have some college options next year. Anyone committed next year?

  • Question said,

Andy. Sorry typo on your name.

  • Andy Durham said,

On the players, Justin Johnson at HP Central likes Elon and Will Johnson at HP Central has seen some interest from some of the schools in the Winston-Salem area and Winston-Salem State will probably offer up to Richard Hayes III from Dudley..RH3’s dad is the DB coach at WSSU and his uncle is the AD and he would a great fit for them, but he probably wants to go bigger, but he would be quite a catch for WSSU…

T.J. Logan from Northern Guilford has already committed to North Carolina and Davidson has shown an interest in Jordan Putnam from Page and he would do a super job for them….

Nothing out yet on Malik Moseley or others, but we will keep on looking….

  • Question said,

Thanks Andy! Hope to see many of these fine athletes go on to play college ball! Will be interesting to see how it all shakes out!
