Guilford Women Finish 24th at Cross Country Regional Meet

HAMPTON, Ga. – Jasmine O’Neill (Winston-Salem, N.C./Parkland) paced Guilford College’s women’s cross country team at the NCAA Division III South/Southeast Regional Cross Country Championships, hosted by Emory University, Saturday.

O’Neill completed the six-kilometer race in 25 minutes, 32.16 seconds, her career-best and eighth-best in Guilford history. She placed 90th in the 184-woman field. Rebecca Reyna ran 26:46.96, a career- and season-best and Emily Cash finished in a season-best 28 minutes, 2.10 seconds.

Pasangi Perera finished a career-best 28 minutes, 21.73 seconds. Colleen Gonzalez finished fifth on the team, with her 31:40.86 finish. Jamie Luckhaus (33:31.97) and Rachel Flint (36:22.86) rounded out Guilford’s finishes.

Guilford’s Old Dominion Athletic Conference-foes Washington and Lee University and Bridgewater College took fourth and fifth place respectively.
