from Jim Stout and MaxPreps.com:

On Friday night, one of the oldest and most revered national high school football records is likely to fall. Derrick Henry of Yulee (Fla.) High is set to break the 59-year-old career rushing mark established by Ken Hall of Sugar Land, Tex., in 1953. The 77-year-old Hall, who has been called the Babe Ruth of high school football, finished his career during the Eisenhower administration with 11,232 rushing yards. Henry, a 6-foot-3, 240-pound senior running back and Alabama commit, will take a career mark of 11,131 into Friday’s FHSAA Class 4A first-round game against Taylor County. Henry needs just 102 yards to pass Hall, who is recovering from recent cancer surgery.
