Kara Shutt(Southeast Guilford) verbally committed to Elon University last night to play softball. She also had offers from Campbell,Furman, UNCG and UNCW.
Congrats to Kara, Danny, Dusty, Dylan and mom, all of those from the Shutt family and Kara is one heck of a basketball player too, as somebody else is about to find out tonight and back in her day, as a young athlete, she played on an All-Boys baseball team that played in a National Tournament up in Cooperstown, New York…..I believe that team was from Pleasant Garden, N.C., or least that is the info that was sent on to me, back in the day…..
