College Women’s Basketball Final – Eastern Mennonite 57, Guilford 44

GREENSBORO, N.C. — The Royals scored 23 points off Quaker turnovers to clinch the 57-44 Old Dominion Athletic Conference (ODAC) women’s basketball decision Wednesday in the Ragan-Brown Field House.

Eastern Mennonite (2-2) took command of the game early with a 9-2 run to start off the first half. Guilford (4-2) had five turnovers until that point but rallied and trailed 11-10 nine minutes into the first half. The Royals controlled the remainder of the first half. The Quakers came within two less than a minute into the second half, but Eastern Mennonite went on a 15-6 run in the next eight minutes of play that solidified the win, Guilford unable to come back.

Bianca Ygarza paced the Royals with team-high 14 points, two assists and two steals. Keyla Baltimore contributed nine points, five rebounds and three assists. Raiven Patterson scored nine points off the bench and two steals. Ygarza and Patterson shared team-high rebounds with six apiece. Alisa Brown added eight points. She and teammate Kala Yoders had game-high three steals each.

Brittany Drew sported game-highs in both points (15) and rebounds (10) marking the first double-double performance of her Guilford career. She has scored 10 or more points in five of the Quakers’ six contests this season. Jaclyn Nucci chipped in eight points and had two steals. Morgan King added nine rebounds and two assists. Kayla Adams scored five points and grabbed three boards off the bench.

The Quakers next play home against William Peace University at 5:30 p.m. in the Ragan-Brown Field House.
