NCCA East-West All-Star Game moving to Simeon Stadium and Ethan Albright(Grimsley/UNC/’Skins) will conduct Youth Football Clinic

The NCCA is pleased to announce that the 65th East-West All-Star football game will be played at High Point’s A.J. Simeon Stadium in July of 2013.

The all-star game, which has been played at Grimsley’s Jamieson Stadium in
Greensboro for the previous 64 years, is moving due to a construction project at
the traditional site.

Phil Weaver, an executive director of the NCCA, expressed his pleasure at the
commitment and support promised by High Point officials and said the NCCA looks
forward to working with them in preparation for the all-star game which drew a
crowd of 7,623 to Jamieson Stadium last July. Simeon Stadium, which holds
10,000, is located at 2930 School Park Road in High Point.

Although the site of the game in 2013 will be different, the excitement will
remain the same, with a game featuring outstanding graduating seniors from
across the state and a fireworks display at halftime.

Additionally, former East-West all-star Ethan Albright, who played collegiately at UNC Chapel Hill and professionally for many years with the Washington Redskins, will lead a youth football clinic the day of the game, with
participants attending the all-star game that evening.
