Wil Myers, from High Point, N.C. and former Wesleyan Academy Trojan, has been traded from the Kansas City Royals to the Tampa Bay Rays…Once saw Wil hit three home runs in one game, on a Monday afternoon over at Grimsley High School and as soon as he hit that third homer, the pro scouts were headed to the parking lot and going home, they had seen enough and now Wil is leaving the Royals’ organization and he will suit up this Spring for Tampa Bay….More on the way, when you check out below…

KANSAS CITY, Mo. — Former Wesleyan Christian Academy star Wil Myers, considered the top prospect in the Kansas City Royals’ organization, has been traded to the Tampa Bay Rays.

The Royals acquired former All-Star James Shields and fellow right-hander Wade Davis from the Rays on Sunday night for Myers, an outfielder and High Point native, and a package of minor league prospects.
