HPU Women’s Basketball Earns Road Win at USC Upstate

SPARTANBURG, S.C. – Junior Cheyenne Parker had 22 points and 21 rebounds and redshirt-sophomore Stacia Robertson scored 23 points to lead the High Point University women’s basketball team to a 77-67 win over USC Upstate.

“It was good to play again after finals week,” said head coach DeUnna Hendrix. “We came out with a lot of fire. They let Stacia shoot from the outside and she had a huge night. When she is successful with her outside shot it frees her and Cheyenne both up in the paint. Cheyenne continues to amaze. She is getting better every day.”

Parker added six blocks and five steals to her 22 points and game-high 21 rebounds. Roberton’s 23 points was a career-high for the forward. She also had five steals. Junior Tayler Tremblay added 14 points and five rebounds.

Tee’ara Copney led USC Upstate with 22 points and five rebounds and Hannah Ohl added 17 points on 5-8 shooting from three-point range. Upstate shot 9-16 from three as a team.
