  1. How can you call them the best team in the area, 3 wins against a winless NE Guilford girls squad………Your city Champs……..wow…..TIMCO tournament is a joke………4 other area teams would have been a better draw, but its only set-up for the darlings of Guilford county.

  2. LOL – The teams in the tournament are the teams in the tournament (period). The bottomline is that Page will get a nice cool $10k plus check from this tournament in the next couple of weeks. This tournament is a great financial benefit for all 8 schools in a period that all of us need added funds.

  3. Page girls are actually pretty good, GDS will be a good test for them, but you can’t blame page for whose in the tournament. Page girls have won every game this season by atleast 15+ you can’t say they are not good.

  4. Not saying that Page is not a good team…….but don’t say they will be city Champs……when at this time every school in the county could use the 10k………..you just have to many good quality girls basketball teams in the area who can’t be showcase……..you just can’t praise teams for beating aimless teams…….when is the last time Page girls beat Dudley? They win the little 4 and lost too Dudley twice………but they use the little 4 as a spring board for city Champs…….but have only finished 3rd, 3rd and 2nd in the metro conference…….no conference or tournament Champs……….but u call them city Champs.

  5. I been to a few dudley games, Page should beat them both times this season. But they do tend to freeze up when it comes to playing them. This squad this year is loaded n have a lot of veterans, I can see them going far this year but time will tell.

  6. What other “great” teams in the city are you referring to “Page hater” ? Southeast started good last year before falling back to the middle of the pack last year so who knows for 2012-3. Western started with a great record last year but could not handle the conference schedule & they have already taken some tough losses this year. Southern Alamance had a good team last year but this year its ony based on 1 girl and that team will not come close to beating Dudley or Page this year. Schools such as Southwest, Eastern, and Southern would not even begin to challenge Page. So again other than Page and Dudley – who else should be in this tournament from Greensboro that would add any competitive balance or value ? The Page and Dudley girls run this city and that is a fact.

  7. I am quite sure a lot of the Northern girl fans were feeling the same way before yesterday. Be careful with what you think before its proven on the floor. This tournament will continue to open some eyes.

  8. Do you really believe teams from the past from Thomasville, Southeast Guilford, Southwest Guilford, Eastern Guilford could not have competed in the Christmas Tournament with the type of talent that they have had? Surely you must have not ventured out too often.

  9. Your talking about “who runs the city” in girls basketball…Page or Dudley? Who cares, running the Metro conference is what you should be concerned with. Neither team made it to the metro conference tournament championship last year, and the two teams that did are intact and better than last year.

  10. Running the City
Seems like you are trying to disrespect ou South Alamance girls team. Boy do you have a short memory. If I am not mistaken I believe that we came to Greensboro in Dudley gym and won the conference championship. Don’t worry we are not going anywhere no matter how much you all try to create a superstar player and team.
