GAME NOTES:
–Northeast Guilford was able to make timely free throws after they controlled the majority of the game to secure a 78-68 win over Northwest Guilford in the 5th place game of the Timco Invitational at the Greensboro Coliseum. Northwest fought hard throughout the game but could not get the deficit any lower than four at any point during the game.

–Nick Powell led Northwest with 23 points and 6 assists, while Josh Beitz scored 13 points and hauled in 8 rebounds for the Vikings.

–M. Tijani led the Rams with 22 points. G. Griffin and T. Withers each scored 17 points for Northeast.

  1. This should have been a battle for 3rd place but both schools were out coached by Ragsdale and Northern. Both teams would be good if the coaches worked on defense instead of being so offensively focused. No concept of help side d, sliding your feet, not reaching in and proper closeouts. Players also miss shots and then jog back on d. Both teams if they make these improvements could go far.
