Are Page girls good enough to win the 4A state? Who will be the main competition?
Yes I believe they are, they are great on the defensive end. And their start 5 is good together along with a productive bench. Southeast, Dudley, and Southern Alamance will be a good test for them.
They are not big enough to beat teams like Myers Park, Millbrook, or even Green Hope. Page has good guard play when their shots are falling but they are not physical enough to get out of the regional and into the semifinals. They work well as a team but they do not have a true “go to” player if Paris is not performing. Other than Paris, the other girls are just spot up shooters.
Seems like everyone continues to sleep on Page. I agree if its one negative thing about them it would be they lack size. But with the quick hands on defense, getting steals, and running the court all game they could tire a big lineup out. Haven’t seen them other schools so I can’t comment on them.
