John(852-1053) is trying to keep you out of court and we have you on the court tonight with:

Northeast Guilford boys played and won at Ledford last night…Ledford takes the girls game 68-35…

Wesleyan at High Point Christian start time set for 5:30 girls and big-time boys game to follow….Theo Pinson, Jaquel Richmond, Tre’ Chapman and Harry Giles for the Trojans look to get it going vs. Jackson Kent, Diante Baldwin, Michael Kobani, Malik Wright, Stevie Williams and others for HPCA…This is the biggest boys game in the state tonight…Looking to updates here on the site courtesy of Carson Cashwell at HPCA…Both teams with two losses on the season, but this should be the first conference meeting for both this evening…..Many feel WES has the edge going in, but we shall see tonight and don’t you always have to favor the home team in the first meeting of the year, with two private powerhouses doing battle..

Dudley at Southeast Guilford 6pm start for the girls and this will be the top girls game in the state, if not the region/area tonight…SEG can not afford to lose this game….I repeat, SEG can’t afford to lose this game, that’s just the way it is….If SEG falls, then the Falcons will have two Metro 4-A Conference losses and that just shows how BIG this game is…Dudley topped Smith already and the Panthers just defeated a very good Mount Tabor team last Friday night…The two conference losses would prove hard for SEG to bounce back from in a conferece with teams like Page, Southern Alamance, Dudley, Smith amd Western Guilford and you have to face them all twice and you don’t want to ever give up a home game if you can avoid it, because our rocket science professor taught us, “you have to face the same team that beat you at home, at their place when you go on the road and that is not easy, if they have alreay beaten you once….This game is BIG and we plan to be there with updates here on the site and you’ll see the Falcons Hailey, Shutt, Upshaw, Uffman, Phifer and more, facing the likes of Rouse(she just back in there last Friday night), Mo Davis, Abraham, Currie, Maize and more from the Lady Panthers of Dudley….Must-win for SEG and can they handle it at home….This is a very BIG step-up game for the Lady Falcons coming off of that loss to Southern Alamance last Friday night….

Boys game to follow and the Dudley boys are still Unbeaten in the Metro and could run their record to (3-0) with another win tonight and then they have Western Guilford coming to Dudley on Friday night….

Most all of the games are starting with the girls at 6 and the boys at 7:30pm…

Glenn at Southwest Guilford…..They all keep getting bigger and bigger for the SWG Cowboys now (12-0) and ranked in the Top Ten in the state 4-A’s and Terrell Leach still averaging just under 33.0 points per game….Leach fouled out of last Friday night’s game with Ragsdale and he may feel he has to make up for some of that lost time in tonight’s game with the Bobcats…

Grimsley at Southern Guilford….Great opportunity for the SG girls to try and push ahead with their win totals and two coaches that saw each other quite a bit back in the Mid-State 3-A, Coach Gunn-now Grimsley and then-Eastern Guilford, plus William Whitaker now and still Southern Guilford, will meet again this evening on Drake Road, just off of Kivett Drive…Boys game will be a battle of quicks….Two very quick teams looking for the remote control…..

Smith at Page….Smith boys have to have this one or they drop down lower in the Metro standings…Smith boys fell to Western Guilford last Friday night 57-55 and they need this game to stay alive in the race for first place…If Page boys win, they join the Dudley Panthers as the teams to beat in the Metro and that is starting to look like the story already….Page girls face a must-win situation every night out now….Got to win to stay at the top and Smith will be ready to try and knock of the Lady Pirates, but it will tough to do it at ‘Page’s Place’, the Mac Morris Gym….Page will find the going very tough again this Friday night as they travel to face Southern Alamance, a team that beat them in the Metro Conference Tourney semifinals last season…No easy nights in the Metro for the ladies this year…The Smith girls led by Nyla Allen and Breanna Garris will come looking to pull the rug out from underneath the Pirates and get the huge upset tonight…Page sits at (11-0) on the season…

Southern Alamance at Western Guilford….These games should have balance with the WG girls posing a home threat to the Lady Patriots with Letricia Smith, Karima Dean, Ivana Davis, Selena Lozada and facing Shay Burnett, Hollie Boggs, April Kelly and Darielle Sykes….SA looking to be the ‘Guilford County Slayer’ this season..Boys game could end up a toss-up with WG making some noise after last Friday nights two-point win over Smith and the Hornets one-point loss to SWG in OT just one week earlier…Hornets in some tight ones….

Eastern Guilford at Morehead….Should have updates on this one from Danny Robinson, with EG boys and girls both playing good ball these days/nights…..

Northwest Guilford at Ragsdale…..Could be two real good ones here and we should be getting the inside skinny from Mike Ellis and the Jamestown News…The girls game could be a crucial game for the middle of the pack right now in the Piedmont Triad 4-A and for the boys, Ragsdale can give NWG a game, as the Tigers just took SWG to OT at ‘The Ranch’ last Friday night….NWG boys have to have it and RHS looks to take it away from them, as all teams try and keep pace with SWG in the PTA….

Western Alamance at Northern Guilford…..NG girls have only one blemish on their record and they should continue to march on tonight and they have a soon-to-be meeting coming with Eastern Guilford and maybe the Wildcat Ladies will have something in store for the Nighthawks….NG men have fallen on hard times and will face former NEG girls coach Wayne Stevens and his male Warriors tonight….

WS Parkland at High Point Central…Central boys have a chance behind Juwan Foggie, but the HPC girls are still at ‘Ground Zero’ hoping their power pack kicks in soon…

Also tonight on the Private School scene….
Forsyth Country Day at Greensboro Day…PACIS game here and GDS boys are (22-0) and girls are at (17-2)….
Caldwell Acadmey at American Hebrew(AHA)….This is the time for an Eagle Sweep and there haven’t been many opportunities for that this year….
Salem Baptist at Westchester Country Day
*****A couple of more public school games for you.*****
North Surry at Bishop McGuinness
Rockingham County at McMichael

  1. You included Stevie Williams for HPCA. I know against Westchester on Thursday, that Stevie was out and had a knee brace on. I heard last night that he has a torn meniscus and partial PCL tear. I doubt we will see a dressed out Stevie Williams tonight. Couple that along with Chuck Ogbodo remaining inelligible, and I just don’t see HPCA being able to pull out a win in this one.

  2. Let’s add in Alvah Phillip to that HPCA lineup in the place of Williams and we should also see Joey McLean play a big part for HPCA too…

  3. @ Andy

What’s your prediction for the WCA – HPCA game tonight. You said they call you Mr. 99 beause you’re right 99% of the time, but you never put it to the test and make a prediciton on big games.

  4. Wayne Stevens is no longer at WA. I believe he is now in SC. Maxpreps has Carter Gerlach as the head coach now

  5. I figured the minute I put Coach Stevens name up there he would be out and no longer at WA…

Good way to get new info and that Carter Gerlach name sounds familiar, but I just can’t place it…..

Thanks for the update and wonder if WA boys are down or up this year???
