Women’s College Basketball Final – Guilford 63, Shenandoah 41

GREENSBORO, N.C. — Jaclyn Nucci paced the Quakers with team-high 12 points in Guilford’s 63-41 Old Dominion Athletic Conference (ODAC) win over Shenandoah University Saturday.

Guilford (11-3, 5-1 ODAC) never trailed by more than two points. Consecutive layups by Gabby Oglesby with fewer than five minutes to play in the first half put the Quakers up for good. Guilford held Shenandoah to 41 points, their lowest score of the season.

Brittany Atwater added 11 points and had game-high five assists and team-high three steals. Oglesby had 10 points and shared team-high rebounds honors (7) with Morgan King. Rookie Lila Scott went three-for-four from beyond the three-point line. Oglesby also had four blocks. King and Nucci had two blocks apiece.

Crystal Petrus led the Hornets (6-9, 2-4 ODAC) with game-highs in points (18) and rebounds (3). Nicole Gilbertson stood second with nine points. Holly Chittenden and Sara D’Amico had three assists each. Gabrielle Clark blocked four shots.

The Quakers next play home Tuesday, Jan. 15 at 7:00 p.m. against ODAC-foe Hollins University in the Ragan-Brown Field House.
