New Garden Friends School defeated Vandalia Christian High School behind scoring leaders Sydney Smith (15), Asia Milton (14), and Kenice Purvis (13), Kaelin Davis also scored 11 for Vandalia Christian.


Boys

New Garden Friends School – 110

New Garden Friends School pulls away in the third quarter to hold on to the win over Vandalia Christian.

Isaiah Manderson scored 16 points in the first quarter to boost New Garden Friends to an early lead. Kanayo Obi-Rapu put the game out of reach scoring 6 threes in the third quarter for the Bears.

Houston Miller was the leading scorer for Vandalia Christian putting up 36 points.

New Garden Friends hit the 100-point mark at the end of the 3rd quarter on a last second jump shot. The shot topped off a 3rd quarter shootout where the teams combined for 12 threes.

New Garden Friends School moves to 9-9 with the win. Vandalia Christian falls to 12-7 and will play Gospel Light Christian High School on January 17th.

  1. NGFS is going to be a STRONG program very soon. They are getting better and better against tough competition. Next season with Obi-Rapu, Smart, Isaih Robertson and now Josh Level,,, watch out!

    Sure wish some of the local schools would agree to play them. GDS is the only one to do so. It has given them an opportunity to play a tough schedule but some local competition would be nice. Wonder why the Greensboro and High Point Schools do not play them?
