NOCAD elects Phil Weaver(Grimsley HS) Executive Director and Joe Franks(Grimsley) named to the Board of Directors

The National Organization of Coaches Association Directors (NOCAD) has elected Phil Weaver(Greensboro Grimsley High School), Co-Executive Director of the North Carolina Coaches Association (NCCA), as only its third executive director in its 22 year history. David Land of the Indiana Football Coaches Association (IFCA) has been named the Assistant Executive Director. Weaver previously served on the Board of Directors and as its President in 2004 and will continue in his position with the NCCA. North
Carolina joined NOCAD in 1992.

Weaver replaces Keith Richardson of South Carolina who served for twelve years.
Harold (PeeWee) Park of Oklahoma was elected at the founding meeting in 1991.
NOCAD was incorporated as a 501-c-3 non-profit to help generate revenue for and
provide support to member states’ high school coaches organizations. Currently
37 state coaches organizations are members stretching from Connecticut to Hawaii
and Michigan to Florida and counting approximately 140,000 coaches belonging to
its member states’ associations. The organization has just concluded its annual
Martin Luther King holiday weekend meeting in Orlando.

Joe Franks(Greensboro Grimsley High School), Assistant Executive Director of the North Carolina Coaches Association, was elected to a three year term on the board of Directors. This is only the third time an assistant executive director has been so honored.
