In two wins over North Division foes the University of North Carolina at Greensboro and Samford, Troutman averaged 22.5 points, 8.0 rebounds and 4.5 blocks per game to help the Phoenix extend its division lead.

Troutman tallied a team-high 19 points in a win over the Spartans on Jan. 31 at the Greensboro Coliseum, adding six boards, three blocks and three steals in 32 minutes of action.

Two days later against Samford, Troutman poured in a game-high 26 points to go along with 10 rebounds and six blocks. The double-double marked his third of the season, as he went over the 1,000-point plateau in the victory.

With 140 career blocked shots, Troutman is two shy of tying Elon’s school record. He ranks third in the league with 16.0 points per game and is 14th in rebounds (6.0 rpg). Troutman is second in the conference in field goal percentage (.542) and second in blocked shots (2.2 bpg).

The weekly honor marks the second of the year for Troutman, as he was named the SoCon Player of the Week on Nov. 27.

The Phoenix (15-7, 8-2 SoCon) returns to action Thursday when Elon visits Wofford (8-15, 2-8 SoCon).
