SPARTANBURG, S.C. – Elon women’s track and field freshman Megan Kirschling was named the Southern Conference’s Women’s Indoor Track and Field Athlete of the Week as announced by the conference office on Wednesday, Feb. 6.

Kirschling finished as the runner-up in the high jump at the Gene Anderson Invitational in Chapel Hill, N.C., on Saturday, Feb. 2. The West Deptfort, N.J., native set a new school record and a conference-best mark at a cleared height of 5’10” (1.78m).
