Game Report: Southwest Guilford at Southern Alamance – Wednesday Night – 2/13/13

Southwest hit the road to face off against the Patriots of Southern Alamance in late season non- conference matchup.

Southwest was looking to stay perfect on the year, while yet another opponent was trying to be the first to bring them down.

The opening minutes was back and forth but a 9-0 run by the Cowboys pushed it to 20-9. The opening frame ended at 22-15.

Second-quarter was controlled by the Cowboys as they outscored them 24-16 in the frame to take a 15 point halftime lead (46-31).

The second half was all Cowboys as they dominated both sides of the ball. Swarming defense and easy baskets helped the Cowboys cruise to a 91-58.

The Patriots were paced by Jalen Burnette with 16.

Southwest was led by Terrell Leach (22, 12 Reb, 3 Ast), and KJ Langley (21, 4 Stl, 2 Ast, 2 Stl). Southwest remains perfect at 23-0, and 11-0.
