Baseball (1-2)
Elon at North Carolina A&T, Tuesday, Feb. 19, at 3 p.m., Greensboro, N.C.
Elon vs. Kentucky, Friday, Feb. 22, at 12 p.m., Myrtle Beach, S.C.
Elon vs. Kansas State, Saturday, Feb. 23, at 11 a.m., Myrtle Beach, S.C.

• Elon won its season opener for the second straight season by claiming an 11-3 victory over Marist on Friday afternoon.
• Third baseman Sebastian Gomez opened the year with back-to-back three-hit games.
• After taking on North Carolina A&T on Tuesday, the Phoenix will travel to Myrtle Beach, S.C., where the maroon and gold will participate in the Caravelle Resort’s Baseball at the Beach tournament hosted by Coastal Carolina.

Men’s Basketball (18-8, 11-3 Socon)
Elon at Samford, Thursday, Feb. 21, at 8 p.m. (eastern), Birmingham, Ala.
Elon at Chattanooga, Saturday, Feb. 23, at 7:30 p.m., Chattanooga, Tenn. (ESPN3)

• Elon has won 10 of its last 11 games, as the Phoenix heads to Samford and Chattanooga this week for its final two road games of the regular season. Saturday’s game at UTC will be featured live on ESPN3.
• Lucas Troutman became Elon’s all-time blocked shots leader on Saturday vs. Western Carolina, as the junior from Belton, S.C., recorded four against the Catamounts to move his career total to 145.
• Ryley Beaumont had a stellar week in two games vs. Appalachian State and Western Carolina, averaging 20.5 points and 11.0 rebounds per game and shooting 63 percent from the field.

Men’s Golf
Elon at Wexford Plantation Intercollegiate, Monday-Tuesday, Feb. 18-19, Hilton Head, S.C.

• The Elon men’s golf team will open its spring schedule at the Wexford Plantation Intercollegiate hosted by Francis Marion.
• The 18-team event will consist of 36 holes on Monday and 18 holes on Tuesday.
• The Phoenix is one of five Southern Conference teams in the tournament. The others are Davidson, Georgia Southern, Samford and Western Carolina.

Men’s Tennis (2-3)
Elon vs. Radford, Friday, Feb. 22, at 2 p.m., Jimmy Powell Tennis Center
Elon vs. Winthrop, Sunday, Feb. 24, at 1 p.m., Jimmy Powell Tennis Center

• The Phoenix has two matches slated at the Jimmy Powell Tennis Center this week versus Radford and Winthop.
• Elon defeated Washington & Lee, 7-0, on Feb. 16 to improve to 2-3 on the young season.
• Elon’s 21st-ranked Cameron Silverman won his lone singles match last week, defeating Hayden White, 6-1, 6-1, in straight sets.

Softball

Elon vs. Saint Peter’s, Friday, Feb. 22, at 4:30 p.m., Hunt Softball Park

• The Phoenix will open up the new Hunt Softball Park with its home opener versus Campbell on Tuesday. Elon has won seven straight home openers, dating back to 2005
• Elon defeated then eighth-ranked Georgia for its first win of the season on Feb. 8, at the Red and Black Showcase.
• Senior outfielder Tomeka Watson hit two home runs at the Red and Black Showcase and has 22 career homers, four shy of tying Brandi Jones’ (2006-09) all-time mark of 26 for the program.

Track and Field
Elon at 2013 Southern Conference Indoor Championships, Saturday – Sunday, Feb, 23 -24, Winston Salem, N.C.

• Freshman Sydney Griffin set a new school record in the 60-meter dash at the Virginia Tech Challenge on Friday, Feb. 15. Griffin clocked a time of 8.62 in the race and was fourth overall.
• Kimberlyn Holt set a new program record in the weight throw at the Virginia Tech Challenge with a toss of 52’01” (15.87) and finished second overall.
• The SoCon Championships will take place at the JDL Fast Track Complex where the Phoenix won the Wake Forest Invitational meet earlier in the season on Jan. 19.

Women’s Basketball (13-11, 10-5 SoCon)
Elon vs. Wofford, Wednesday, Feb. 20, at 7 p.m., Alumni Gym
Elon at Furman, Saturday, Feb. 13, at 2 p.m., Greenville, S.C.

• Elon returns to Alumni Gym for the first time in over two weeks for a contest against Wofford. The Phoenix defeated the Terriers, 67-57, earlier this season in Spartanburg, S.C.
• The team is 9-2 at home this season and has won its last seven straight. Elon’s two losses were only by a combined three points.
• The Phoenix claimed a 70-57 win in its last game on Saturday at UNCG. Ali Ford scored 15 points and Kelsey Evans hauled down 14 boards.

Women’s Tennis (6-1)
Elon vs. Radford, Tuesday, Feb. 19, at 2 p.m., Jimmy Powell Tennis Center
Elon at UNC Wilmington, Friday, Feb. 22, at 2 p.m., Wilmington, N.C.

• Winner of six consecutive matches, Elon has two matches slated this week against Radford and UNCW.
• This past week, Elon defeated USC Upstate, 5-2, at the Wake Forest Indoor Tennis Center in Winston-Salem, N.C.
• The doubles team of Jordan Johnston and Frida Jansaker improved to 8-1 on the year after winning against USC Upstate on Feb. 16. Dating back to last year, Johnston and Jansaker have a record of 28-3.
