Last Time Out
Elon snapped a two-game losing skid with a 70-57 win at UNCG on Saturday. After a close first half, the Phoenix opened the second frame on a 13-4 run and outscored the Spartans 45-31 in the final 20 minutes. Ali Ford led the team with 15 points after going 3-for-5 from the three-point line, while Kelsey Evans hauled down 14 boards. Zora Stephenson and Jessica Farmer also finished in double figures with 12 and 10 points, respectively.

Scouting the Terriers
Wofford will play Elon Wednesday in its third game in five days, which is exactly the stretch the Phoenix had played when the two teams met earlier this season. The Terriers have lost its last two games in contests at Appalachian State and Davidson. Wofford has two players, Morgan Wrightson (13.2 ppg) and Daniella Motley (11.8 ppg), averaging in double figures. Motley is the team’s leading rebounder with 9.2 per game and ranks second in the conference. As a team, the Terriers are averaging 55.2 points a game and shooting 35 percent from the field.

The Series
The Phoenix has won the last six games against the Terriers, including a 67-57 victory earlier this season in Spartanburg, S.C. The first meeting between the two schools came in 2004 after Elon joined the Southern Conference. In the last game, Elon saw four players (Kelsey Evans, Sam Coffer, Ali Ford and Kelsey Harris) score in double figures, while the team shot almost 38 percent from the field and scored 32 points in the paint.

Three Points
Three points is all that separates Elon from a perfect home record this season. The Phoenix is 9-2 in Alumni Gym with both losses coming by those combined three points. The maroon and gold has won its last seven games at home.

Looking Ahead
The Phoenix will travel to Furman this weekend to face the Paladins in a 2 p.m. game on Saturday, Feb. 23, in Greenville, S.C.
