Though they lost this game, Western Guilford did not go down without a fight. Freshman point guard Nadia Curry stepped up after losing senior PG Letricia Smith to an injury earlier in the season, by leading her team with 11 assists and controling the pace of the game the entire first half. Another freshman Emily Langenfeld also showed what she was made of with 8 points (two 3-pointers and a short corner jump shot) as well as 2 steals. Adding to these stats are JR. Karimah Dean with 13 points and 11 rebounds, Jr. Deja Everett with 9 points and 9 rebounds, Jr. Ivana Davis with 8 points, 3 steals and 5 rebounds, and Sr. Selena Lozada with 10 points and 7 rebounds. Looks like the Hornets have a great group of returning players!!!! Go Hornets!!!!

  2. Didn’t see a lot of Emily, but I did catch some of Curry in action and was very impressed…

She is going to be a good one…
