The Five that are making their team come alive and other teams that have come ALIVE late in the season

There are five players and maybe a few more that have been making the state’s #1 NCHSAA 2-A Girls team, come alive this season….

The High Point Andrews Red Raiders girls are (25-1) and they have been led by at least Five key players from the ‘Five Points’ of High Point this season, with names like Imani Watkins, October Campbell, Santia Davis, Shamisha Farabee and now Jazlin Taylor coming alive for the Red Raiders…

I plan on talking to the Red Raiders’ head coach John Shearin later on today and will have more on the team and where they have come from and where they might be going, in tomorrow’s edition….

Teams that have really come ALIVE here late in the season, include the Northwest Guilford girls, who at one time were like (3-11) and look at them now, at (15-11) and the Piedmont Triad 4-A Women’s Tournament Champions…..What a turnaround for the NWG Viking girls……They have really come around…..Big shot, by freshman Toni Tucker, to help win the game last Friday night, as the Vikings topped their conference rival Southwest Guilford for the PTA Crown….

The Northern Guilford boys also came ALIVE here late in the season and at one stage of the year they were at (3-10) and now the Nighthawks sit at (15-12) after finishing second in their Mid-State 3-A Conference tournament and they begin the playoffs tomorrow(Monday) evening….Once the Nighthawks got TJ Logan and Malik Prioleau back in the lineup on a regular basis, they were a different team…..

HPA girls have been going at it all season long and they have stayed ALIVE, but the NWG girls and the NG boys, have found new life and a new attitude in the month of February and those two teams are looking and hoping to extend their ‘life-span’, as they enter the playoff season/post-season this week…..

More on the HP Andrews girls in tomorrow’s edition…….
