Natalie Harper (Northwest Guilford, 2012) Freshman, Spring Hill College, Mobile, AL. lead her team with most points scored this season along with the highest free throw percentage at 82%. She played in all 29 games and had 14 starts. She was selected to the All-Freshman SSAC team and enjoyed Spring Hill College player of the week this past December. Not a bad way to start off her first year in college!
The 2012-2013 Spring Hill College women’s basketball team collected five postseason awards from the Southern States Athletic Conference (SSAC) as chosen by the head coaches of the 15 member institutions on Wednesday.
Senior center April Bradford of Pensacola, Fla., was named to the SSAC All-West Division Team for the second consecutive year after a season in which she averaged 7.1 points and 6.3 rebounds per game along with a conference leading 62 blocked shots.
Guard Natalie Harper of Greensboro, N.C., and center Leah Washington from Houma, La., earned spots on the All-Freshmen roster. Harper shot 32.1% (50-156) from 3-point distance while averaging 7.5 points per game. Washington scored 4.7 points per game and hauled in 5.3 rebounds per contest while blocking a total of 17 shots.
