  1. Not many hits. I heard only 4. Only 2 balls hit hard and flare or two. Understand Ellis did not go.

  2. Find it interesting that NW played and won in Wislon and there’s a game recap article in the N&R which Is wonderful especially with event like this. Not even a box score form SW or Ragsdale?

  3. Viking, pretty sure it was too late to get it in the paper, but it will be in paper next sat after the cowboys play Nwg on Friday.

  4. Has nothing to do with winning or losing. It requires someone to keep book or at least game highlights and then get it to the paper. Understand Ellis was not here. In fact heard only 3-4 families even attended. Some quit turning in highlights because if you leave someone out then a parent gets upset. Best just to say nothing. Keeps the drama down. Plus I understand there were not many highlights. I imagine Ellis will have a report later after reading the book.

  5. Coverage, Are u Kidding me, I’ve been to these games, and there are plenty of books being kept, every other parent keeps a book, even electronically, and at the end of the season there kid has the best batting avg, 2 time batting champ.

  6. Take it for what it’s worth…Some teams will send in scores, so won’t…Some send scores and sometimes it is from those at the game and we get the score and some details…

If we don’t get the score we usually go looking for it and will find it….

You are getting a lot of scores and info, so enjoy it and follow the games….

Good deal for what we are providing for you here and I have always felt is fun to see the scores and find out what the teams did….

We’ll keep doing it as long as we can get the info and as long as can keep on getting and finding the scores….

It is real early in the season, relax and enjoy it….

  7. Top 10 public school Baseball Poll
    1)NW
    2)SW
    3)SE
    4)NG
    5)HPC
    6)Dudley
    7)Page
    8)Ragsdale
    9)Grimsley
    10)EG

    What you think?

  8. Still no box score from Ragsdale/ SWG in N& R. You think it would be posted if they both won? It’s hard to call in when you lose but it comes with the joys/pains of coaching. Maybe they are “protecting” their number one pitcher …

  9. The poll is not even close, in the 1 spot probably but the rest of the poll should be quite different.

  10. The High School poll in my opinion doesn’t look very good.

NW deserves #1 , they have the most talent around…but will they under achieve as normal. They have had the most talent in the county / area for years and havent done anything with it.

#2 East Forsyth- Plaster gets the most out of his teams as anyone around. They will be strong again, with Scudder leading the way.

#3 HP Central- They have the potential to have the best pitching around. When Hanson toes the rubber it’s a W. Can they score enough runs to win, and when the other pitchers get hit can they play defense?

    #4 SE – Young , but talented

#5, Glenn – Fowler should have an above average team this year. Pitching should be ok, with Thompson – when your 6’7 or so thats a big advantage and add a crisp fastball in the mix you got a pretty good player. If Hodges can overcome some struggles he could be the man. Stanberry will contribute on the mound , he is flying under the radar- won’t be for long.

    6,7,8,9,10 who knows!

If your listing Page and Grimsley in this pole then Piedmont triad baseball is pretty weak!

  11. These coaches need a Reality check that’s its not about them. They tend to take the credit in Wins and tend the players lack of execution in losses. They maybe oaching for the Wrong reasons…
