The women’s basketball team clinched the No. 4 seed and a bye in the first round of the tournament with a 58-53 win over Coastal Carolina on Saturday. The Panthers will face No. 5 Campbell on Friday at 6 p.m. in the third quarterfinal game.

High Point and Campbell split the regular season series, with each team winning at home. The Panthers fell in Buies Creek, N.C., 79-76, on Jan. 12 and picked up a 79-57 win at the Millis Center on Feb. 28. This is the first-ever meeting between HPU and Campbell in the Big South Tournament.
