Men’s College Tennis Final – Liberty 9, Guilford 0

Guilford Evens Record with Loss to Liberty, 9-0

LYNCHBURG, Va. – NCAA Division I Liberty University took all nine matches from Guilford in men’s tennis nonconference play Sunday.

The Flames (6-1) gave up no more than three games in any singles set. Guilford’s Turner Votipka earned team-high three games against his first-singles opponent, Shea Thomas, in his 6-1, 6-3 loss.

Guilford’s (3-3) doubles teams each lost 8-1. Liberty’s Dillon Segur and Jorge Azuero increased their undefeated second-doubles winning streak to 6-0, overcoming Votipka and Mark Cheong.

The Quakers are back in action Saturday (3/9) against Old Dominion Athletic Conference-foe Bridgewater College at 2:00 p.m. at the McMichael Centennial Class Courts.
