FREE SPRING ENROLLMENT AVAILABLE FOR FIRST-TIME FIRST TEE OF THE TRIAD PARTICIPANTS; RECORD NUMBER ENROLLED FOR SPRING PROGRAMS

GREENSBORO, N.C. – – With just one week until spring program registration closes, first-time First Tee of the Triad participants can fill the remaining spring program spaces free of charge, it was announced today. The First Tee of the Triad has already registered some 335 Piedmont Triad children for its spring programs, more than ever before. The First Tee of the Triad now offers its programming at 11 locations allowing even more children throughout the Piedmont Triad to enjoy its benefits.
Spring programming at both Winston Lake Golf Club and Tanglewood Park in Winston-Salem is full. However, space remains at all nine other locations, and for the last week of registration, first-time participants will be granted free enrollment for the spring programming at all locations with space except those offering the par-3 league competition. Locations with free enrollment and the number of available spaces are listed below:
– Gillespie Park, Greensboro: 26 spaces available
– Greensboro National, North Guilford County: 19 spaces available
– Indian Valley, Burlington: 14 spaces available
– Oak Hollow, High Point: Nine spaces available
– Jamestown Park, Jamestown: 12 spaces available
– Rick Murphy’s Golf Academy, Northwest Guilford County: 19 spaces available

“We are absolutely thrilled with the incredible interest our First Tee of the Triad programs have enjoyed this spring,” First Tee of the Triad CEO Mike Barber said. “It is most important, however, that every spot is filled so that we use each opportunity to provide life-changing First Tee core values to as many Piedmont Triad children as possible. So in order to introduce these wonderful programs to as many families as possible, we have decided to open the remaining spots for free enrollment. We hope these children and their families will enjoy the programming this spring and become long-time participants.”

In addition, the par 3 league programs at Bur-Mil Park in Greensboro, Ironplay Par 3 Links in Summerfield and Tanglewood Park in Clemmons all have substantial availability. However, free enrollment is not available for these three locations.
Registration for The First Tee of the Triad’s eight-week spring programs continues through the close of business on Wednesday, March 20. Classes begin the week of March 25 and are set for 4:30 p.m. until 6 p.m. A simple registration process and information on scholarships are available at www.thefirstteeetriad.org. Simply click on “registration” to get started; free scholarships will be granted through online registration. The cost for the spring session in the par 3 league play programs is $60.
