New distinction:Tonight was the coldest night of the year on the Graham Sporting Goods Baseball Scoreboard[Looking more and more like Northwest Guilford is the team to beat]

*****Let’s take a vote, was tonight the coldest night for baseball so far this season??? After last year, didn’t expect to see these this year……*****
+++++’Game of the Night’ candidate is Eastern Alamance vs. Northern Guilford.+++++

Finals and posting as quick as possible:
Maybe what we should call this one the ‘Game of the Night’?????
Eastern Alamance 5
Nortehrn Guilford 4

WP: Zack Littell, 3 hits, 8k
LP: Austin Coltrane

Eagles win on a bases loaded fielders choice. Nighthawks argue it was a foul ball, but looked like the kid grabbed in fair territory early and would have been foul if he would have let it go, but I’m sure NG fans saw it differently, close play either way. Eagles outhit NG 9-3, but 5 hit batsmen and a double that hit off an Eagle fielders head in the outfield with the bases loaded kept it a close game.

  1. Absolutely. How cold was it? So cold I left the Ragsdale – SWG game with the score tied at two in the fifth inning. I heard Ragsdale won 6-2 but don’t know any details.

  2. Timmy Ambrose pitched tough for Ragsdale. Matt Dale also pitched very well for SWG but had a couple of tough walks and some errors behind him. Ragsdale ran the bases well and were patient at the plate. One bad inning killed SWG. Dale and Zente looked good.
