Niko Orfanedes led off with a single, was sacrificed to second and went to third on a Cesar Trejo base hit. He scored on a Matt Horkey sacrifice fly that was pulled in in short left by the shortstop. Trejo went to second, stole third and came home on a wild pitch with the winning run. Nick Corey went 1 2/3 in relief not allowing a hit or a run to pick up the win. Corey Brandenburg pitched a scoreless sixth and after he gave up a leadoff walk in the seventh, Avery Hodges came on to pick up the save. Hodges pitched around a one out error which put runners at second and third. He stranded them by striking out the next to batters to preserve the win.
