Baseball Tonight and if we leave your team out, let us know, so we can get them in here and get into Carolina Acceleration on High Point Road, inside the Greensboro Batting Center…The off-season workouts for football are under way, so get in there today and see Carmine’s display ad on the right hand column here at the site…..

HS Baseball Tonight:
*****Add-in Grimsley at Smith 5pm and Eastern Alamance at Burlington Williams…Major Metro and Major Mid-State 3-A*****
WS Parkland at High Point Central 6pm…Central will honor Greg Johnson at this game….Greg died from cancer complications back in December of 2012 and was such a big part of the HP Central program, with his support over the years….His son Will Johnson starts at SS for the Bison and he is having a great year…TONIGHT ‘Greg Johnson Memorial Night’ at HPC and they couldn’t choose a better man/father/son to honor…Long live the memory of Greg Johnson…..Here’s hoping Will gets 4-5 hits tonight for the Bison…Saw Will and Bison at NWG last night and ‘little’ Will is hanging in.
Northwest Guilford at Ragsdale 7pm….Every night is big night for NWG, at (7-0) on the season and off to an outstanding start in 2013…Some close calls have made this series interesting over the past few years…
Southwestern Randolph at Northeast Guilford 7pm…Very important MPC 3-A game for NEG…
Western Guilford at Dudley 7pm….Can’t wait to get back to the sound effects, the smell of hamburgers cooking in the air and watching the older kids still looking for the ball that Macon Smith hit across the street and into the neighbor’s yard over there in 2010….Good memories of these two teams playing ball with Ray Crawford Jr., Tevin Neal, Corey Kimber, Brandon Burkes, Macon Smith, Joe Turkson, Brandon Ahrens, Kenny Mann, Nin Marrero, Casey Jones and others over the year, and will Nino get the call for WG tonight??? Good history, but sometimes bad karma between these two teams…
Western Alamance at Northern Guilford 7pm…BIG battle in the Mid-State 3-A and both teams will have a lot to say and plenty to play for when they get this one under way….WA has a shot to win Mid-State 3-A and NG is still within striking distance…
Page at Southern Alamance 7pm…Game down at Mount Herman and Page has a good chance if Nic Schofield is on the mound…He is one of the better players that I have seen this season, but I haven’t seen him pitch, but I did see him hit and he is good, real good…Saw Adam Swim last night and he can bring it….
Glenn at Southwest Guilford 7pm…This Glenn team is one to watch…SWG must watch out tonight, cause Glenn might be a team that will shake things up in the PTA 4-A….
Eastern Guilford at Morehead 7pm…You have to hope that EG has some pitching left after that 17-11 game with Southern Guilford last night…
Ledford at Southern Guilford 5pm…Good early game start and we have been seeing Ball, Edwards, Sugg for SG and looking for Hedrick too….Tonight key game for Storm and Coach Carter..Looking to make a dent at the top of the MPC…
Rockingham County at McMichael 7pm….McMichael needs to try and stay close to WA, EA, and BW and a win here will allow them to do that….
North Stokes at Bishop McGuinness 4pm…BM got the win over Gospel Light last night, but never got the score…..

Garrison Stafford had a single at the top of the 7th that scored two runs. Turned out to be the game winner as Grimsley held on to win by one.

Strong pitching by Zach Massey and Kyle Smith closing it out.

First conference win for Coach Eggers.

Huge win for the Tigers tonight. Matt Horkey looked very impressive going all seven for the complete game win.

Everybody hit and contributed for the Tigers tonight. I’m sure Mike Ellis will have all the stats later

  • Cowboy Fan said,

Great win tonight against Glenn – 8-6. Zach Saylor pitched a solid 6 1/3 innings and had the defense tonight to back him up as Glenn hit the ball well

Cowboy bats came alive – Dylan Wilkerson 2 run homer, Austen Zente 3-4 with double and RBI, Matt Dale 1-3 with RBI

17-0 Victory for NW Guilford Lady Vikings. Ragsdale Lady Tigers managed just 1 hit tonight against the Lady Vikings. NW Guilford now 3-1 in PT4A conference play.

  • Bobcat Fan said,

Tip my hat to cowboys tonight. Saylor pitched very good. His defense was tremendous. Zente in cf ran everything down. Saved 5 or more runs by himself. Offense led by Zente and Wilkinson’s 2 run home run. Good game both teams.Glenn coaching suspect…..
