GC Men’s Golf in 16th of 30 After Day 1 of Jekyll Collegiate

The Pride men’s golf team opened the Jekyll Island Collegiate on Friday with a 16th place team score of 311. A total of 30 teams are competing in the three day tournament at the 6,772, par-72 course.

Brian Critzer fired a team best round of 75 (39-36) to place in a tie for 27th in the individual standings. Gregory Pappas (40-38) and Scott Novicki (36-42) followed with a card of 78.

Luke Erickson rounded out the top four with an 18-hole score of 80 (42-38), with John Grimes also competing with an 81 (40-41).

Oglethorpe currently leads the overall field at 291. Mike Wesko of Methodist is the top individual after day one at 70 (34-36).

Greensboro will continue play with day two on Saturday afternoon.
