GREENSBORO, N.C. — Kent Peterson went 2-for-3 in Guilford College’s 7-5 Old Dominion Athletic Conference (ODAC) baseball win over visiting Lynchburg College.

Nathan Fulbright’s two-run single in the bottom of the first inning helped the Quakers to an early 4-0 lead. Joe Rogers countered with an RBI single in the top of the first to put the Hornets on the board. Borja Jones-Berasaluce (2-1) quickly retired the inning and brought Guilford back up to the plate. The Quakers were able to increase their lead to 6-1. The Hornets’ Michael Kenah hit a two-run homer to left field, bringing Lynchburg to within three.

Justin Morrison took over on the mound for Guilford, but allowed three hits and two earned runs in his 1.2 innings. Tyler Tuttle earned the save on the mound for the Quakers, entering the game with the Quakers up 7-5. The Hornets’ rally fell short, as they could not score any off Tuttle.
