Baseball Game Report: High Point Central 6, Ragsdale 1

Starting pitcher Hansen Butler threw 9 strike outs through 5 scoreless innings leading High Point Central to victory. Colin Fowler added two RBI’s in the
3rd and one in the 5th to give Butler some run support on the chilly night.

Cesar Trejo scored for Ragsdale on a wild pitch, after stealing second and advancing to third on a fielder’s choice. This was too little too late for Ragsdale, who only put one more runner on base in the game.

Butler likes the direction his team is headed, saying, “I feel really good, we knew we had the potential to be here and we know we have the talent”. This is his second win of the year on 4 starts.

High Point Central Coach Ken Morgan had more praise for Hansen saying he pounded the strike zone, got up in the count, and had his curveball going tonight, “that’s what we need from him all the time.”

High Point Central improves to 8-2 with this win, while Ragsdale falls to 6-7.
