GC Women’s Lacrosse Honors Seniors; Beats Agnes Scott 18-3

The Pride women’s lacrosse team honored its senior class on Saturday with an 18-3 victory over Agnes Scott. Tori Kallum, Kendra Allbritton and Brittany Ziobro were recognized before the game and each found net in the win.

Greensboro rolled from the start to earn its sixth straight win and seventh in the past eight. The Pride outshot the Scotties 24-0 in the first half and 38-9 for the game. Greensboro also won 16 of the 23 draw controls and forced 24 Agnes Scott turnovers.

The Pride took a commanding 12-0 lead into the break and extended it to 17-0 before the Scotties scored three of the final four goals in the waning minutes of the game.

Following an own goal to open the contest, seniors Ziobro and Kallum both put goals on the board for Greensboro. Kallum’s goal was the first of her Pride career.

Ziobro finished with a team best six goals and five assists for 11 total points. Fellow senior, Allbritton had two goals for Greensboro. Also finishing with two goals each were Nadya Fedun and Kirstin Norris. Kayla Gonzalez, Jessica Pogue, Micaela Sandoval, Amira Khatib all finished the day with one goal apiece.

Ziobro and Norris both forced two Scottie turnovers, while a total of ten Pride players recorded a caused turnover. Kaleigh Hemstock picked up the win in goal for Greensboro.
