The Winston-Salem State baseabll team is rolling with a record of (25-8)and they are at (10-1) in the CIAA Conference…..

The Rams are looking like and playing like Champs in baseball again this season….Travis Moore from Dudley High School is having another career-year for the Rams and he is right now among the national leaders in hitting, with his .427 batting average….But it doesn’t stop there for the former Dudley Panther, Moore has more going on, with 45 runs scored and he has stolen 28 of 31 bases on the season….

The .427 batting average, the 45 runs and the 28 stolen bases, those are some very solid numbers for the All-CIAA standout from Greensboro, N.C., who now calls Winston-Salem his home, at least he does when it is time to make another run home, or maybe when it is time to light up the scoreboard with a home run….Moore can do it all, and believe me, we will be hearing a lot more from this Moore kid(no relation to Clint Moore, now headed back to the San Diego Padres organization, after spending two years on the military service side/two-year military term/obligation)…..

We will be hearing a ton more, from Travis Moore, so keep it here for his regular updates……

*****Other Rams to keep an eye on include, Aaron Jones(Gospel Light Christian School/Grimsley HS), Colby Keene(Southeast Guilford High School) and Tyler Hickernell(Wesleyan)….Jones just got named the CIAA Offensive Player of the Week and his BA is right there in the neighborhood of .385 and his RBI are gearing toward 50…..*****

There is your Rams’ rundown for now and what do you say, those Rams and especially the local Rams, are looking pretty good, huh?????

Isn’t Travis Moore about 26 years old. I thought there was a matriculation rule for college sports. Glad he is doing well, however.

Scott Wells is a great hitter/pitcher (Northwest Guilford, Northern Guilford, Greensboro Day)
