Game Report from Eastern Guilford-Southern Guilford baseball on Tuesday night

Southern Guilford Easter Tournament with Eastern Guilford 4, Southern Guilford 0….

For the last game of the Southern Guilford Easter Tournament would have Eastern Guilford facing off with Southern Guilford in a rematch of an earlier season game. Looks like both teams threw their #1 pitcher. Eastern’s Caleb Robinson would match up against Southern Guilford’s Ryan Hedrick. In the top of the 1st Eastern would score by getting walks by Ryan Hackett, Luke Robinson, & Hunter Ballard and then a single from Caleb Robinson. Hackett would score on a wild pitch. Southern would get their first 2 batters on in the bottom half of the inning with a walk and an error. Robinson would slam the door shut by getting the next 3 batters (2 by strike out and 1 by ground out). In the top of the 2nd inning the Wildcats would score again when Marque Johnson would get a walk then get the hit and run and Hackett would ground out to shortstop. Johnson would try and reach third on the play and the throw from first would sail into left field allowing Johnson to cruise home. Robinson would have an easy 2nd inning getting 2 more strike outs. In the 3rd inning Eastern would push across 2 more runs when Hunter Ballard would score on a pass ball and Marque Johnson would hit a deep fly ball to drive in Jordan Rohrer. This would be the only scores of the game as Eastern would come away with a 4-0 victory.
