Northern Guilford High School will host the Strikeout Cancer Invitational on Saturday April 6th, with five local Guilford County teams participating. Northwest, Southeast, Southern and Western will join the Northern softball team in a display of the best local softball talent.
Games will be played at the high school and middle school starting at 9:30 am, 12 noon, and 2:15 pm. The final game is between Northern and Northwest at 2:15. Admission is free, donations will be accepted. The goal is to play some great softball and raise cancer awareness, proceeds will go to cancer research. Each school has been impacted in some way by cancer and will be wearing uniforms representing different cancers.
