History-making Major League debut, by 20 year-old Jose Fernandez on Sunday, with a team-record 8 strikeouts by a pitcher making his first Marlins team start, and the Miami Marlins got a real shot in the arm from the performance that Fernandez turned in on Sunday and don’t forget, he was making his debut here in Greensboro, for the Grasshoppers, just one year ago…..This kid could really be going places and many still remember reading the article by Jeff Mills from the News and Record, detailing how Fernandez arrived here in this country from Cuba, coming over in the dark of the night with gun shots being fired at him and his family, as they were trying to get away from Cuba by boat and come to the United States…..

Great day and the big 8-K day for the new MLB phenom Jose Fernandez and you can read more from MLB.com when you
