Baseball (20-13, 12-6 SoCon)
Elon vs. North Carolina, Tuesday, April 9, at 6:30 p.m., Latham Park
Elon vs. UNC Wilmington, Wednesday, April 10, at 6:30 p.m., Latham Park
Elon at Louisville, Friday-Sunday, April 12-14, at 6/1/1 p.m., Louisville, Ky.

• Elon won four of its five games last week, including taking two of three games at The Citadel to move atop the Southern Conference standings.
• Senior Ryan Kinsella hit three homers and drove in 12 runs in Elon’s five games last week. The Warren, N.J., native now leads the SoCon with 11 home runs and 44 RBI.
• The Phoenix will play host to the nation’s consensus number one team in North Carolina on Tuesday night. The maroon and gold will then look to avenge a loss to UNC Wilmington by hosting the Seahawks on Wednesday night.
• This weekend, Elon will travel to Louisville to face the Cardinals. It will be the first-ever meeting between the two programs.

Men’s Tennis (14-6, 7-1 SoCon)
Elon at UNCG, Tuesday, April 9, at 2 p.m., Greensboro, N.C.
Elon at Appalachian State, Wednesday, April 10, at 2 p.m., Boone, N.C.

• The Phoenix closes out the regular season this week with a pair of matches at UNCG (April 9) and Appalachian State (April 10).
• Elon went 1-1 last week, topping College of Charleston, 4-3, on April 6 before dropping a 4-3 decision to Georgia Southern on April 7. The loss to the Eagles marked Elon’s first in Southern Conference play this season.
• The 34th-ranked doubles team of Stefan Fortmann and Cameron Silverman went 2-0 this weekend. The tandem has won nine straight and improves to 13-3 on the year.
• The 2013 Southern Conference Tennis Championships come to Elon’s campus, April 18-21.

Softball (12-24, 2-10 SoCon)
Elon at North Carolina, Wednesday, April 10, at 6:30 p.m., Chapel Hill, N.C.
Elon vs. Western Carolina, Saturday-Sunday, April 13-14, 1/3/1 p.m., Hunt Softball Park

• Last week, Tomeka Watson became the program’s all-time career leader in RBI on April 2, in a doubleheader with Longwood at Hunt Softball Park. Watson broke a tie with Debbie Zeigler (2005-08) to set the new school-record against the Lancers.
• Junior Carleigh Nester homered in each contest of Elon’s three-game series with Appalachian State last weekend. Nester also became the fifth player in school history to accumulate 40 doubles or more in a career when she reached the plateau in the series finale.
• This weekend, the Phoenix will host its annual Pink Day game to provide cancer awareness for the community.

Track and Field
Elon at Joe Hilton Invitational, Saturday, April 13, Chapel Hill, N.C.

• Elon travels to the Joe Hilton Invitational this weekend at North Carolina for its final regular-season outdoor meet of 2013 before the Southern Conference Outdoor Championships
• The Phoenix had three members of the program set new school-records this past weekend at the Duke Invitational and the Liberty Collegiate Invitational. Suzanne Martin broke her own program-mark in the javelin throw with a toss of 138’11” (42.35m) on Friday at Duke, while finishing as the runner-up. On Saturday, Caroline McCaslin ran a 10:34.87 in the 3,000-meter steeplechase in Durham to break the previous school-record by nearly 20 seconds. Megan Kirschling cleared the bar at 5’7.25″ (1.71m) in the high jump to win the title and set a new school-record at Liberty.
• The following weekend, Elon will compete in the 2013 Southern Conference Championships in Statesboro, Ga. The Phoenix will look to better a fifth-place standing in last year’s outdoor championships.

Women’s Tennis (17-3, 7-2 SoCon)
Elon vs. Appalachian State, Thursday, April 11, at 3 p.m., Elon, N.C.
Elon vs. East Carolina, Saturday, April 13, at 12 p.m., Elon, N.C.

• Elon closes out the regular season this week with a pair of matches at home against Appalachian State (April 11) and ECU (April 13).
• The Phoenix won its 17th match of the season on April 7 at Furman, setting the program’s Division I single-season record for victories.
• The doubles team of Jordan Johnston and Frida Jansaker improved to 18-2 over the weekend with a pair of wins against Wofford and Furman. In singles play, Jansaker and Bryn Khoury have both tallied a team-best 18 wins so far this season.
• The 2013 Southern Conference Tennis Championships come to Elon’s campus, April 18-21.
