  1. Southeast – 12
    Smith – 3
    Gardner WP, Coble Save
Game went 7 innings with SE playing a lot of kids. Smith played much better than they did the first game and there center fielder made some excellent plays.

  2. Southwest Guilford – 3
    Northwest – 0

Matt Dale complete game for Cowboys – 5k’s 2 hits

  3. EA 7
    McMichael 6
Littell rolls through 5 before eagles pull him up 7-0 and phoenix make it close at the end

    Also
    Rockingham 5
    WA 2

  4. If you’re going to list someone as earning a save at least know that a save is earned when you enter with a lead of 3 runs or less.

  5. Guttiest win by Ragsdale in a long time. Tim Ambrose went a complete 8 innings. Ragsdale down 4-0 after 1st and came back.

  6. Southern Guilford came back to beat Northeast Guilford 8-6….See more details above….

  7. It was all due to Mr. Stanley’s lucky hot dogs tonight. Pretty good pitching duel tonight and a wide zone by Mr. Blue.

Cole Leonard gets hero status for his hot shot down third baseline. Mr. LaBranche was also in a zone. Defense also played pretty well tonight.

Proud of my boys. Stay hot down the stretch!

  8. Southern Guilford 8
    Northeast Guilford 6

This was probably the best game Southern has played in a couple of years. Southern was up 2-0 at the half way mark in the 2nd inning and Northeast came back to score 4 runs in the bottom of the 2nd leaving Southern down by 2. Then in the bottom of the 5th or 6th inning Northeast scored 1 more run, with a score of 5-2 over Southern. The game would stay like this until the top of the 7th, with Southern scoring 6 runs. Then in the bottom of the 7th Northeast came in and only scored 1 run. Leaving Southern Guilford on the top for a 8-6 win over Northeast.
GREAT GAME goes out to the Southern Boys.
How does it feel boys, we finally did it…..

  9. Burlington Williams 5, Eden Morehead 3
WP – Alan Sharpe, CG, 3 hits, 10Ks
    LP – Willis Booth
Batting – Williams: Scott Ellington 3-4, RBI
Brandon Riley 2-4, Alan Sharpe 1-3, 2 RBIs
Batting – Eden Morehead: Stephen Greeson 1-1, double, 2 BB, Jacob Harris 1-3, double, RBI, Scott Gammons 1-3, RBI

  10. Big win for Eastern Guilford. They are starting to see they can play with anyone in the conference. Great job on the mound by Caleb Robinson and also in relief for Austin Koonce.

  11. I was at the SW/NW game last night……probably the best played game of the year in the area. Two of the area’s top hurlers….Swim and Dale. Both were REALLY good!!!!

  12. Thanks to all who sent those scores in last night and we have a good looking scoreboard here this morning…

    Thanks again…

  13. Very bad blown calls…..the only one’s I remember even being remotely in the vicinity of being close….were the thrown behind pick off attempts by the catcher….and those were HARDLY bang bang….brotha!

  14. Cowboy Man. Funny name cause clearly you are a NW fan. Quit whining and take the loss like a man. You have a great team and Swim pitched an awesome game. A few walks, errors and timely hits won the game for the Cowboys. It was our best defensive performance of the year and Matt Dale pitched his best game of the season. 80 pitches in 7 innings. Blown calls had nothing to do with it. Good game by 2 good teams that only lasted 1 1/2 hours. Good luck in the rest of the season. See you in the tournament.

  15. Comment about Smith and southeast game. High school baseball games are made to go 7 innings.

  16. i agree but i think what they are saying is smith is not that good so it was a moral victory to them to go 7 innings. but it probably were some of their jv players but again we all know if se wanted to do damage they could have.smith is getting better but lets be real se is a little better.just saying

  17. Good job by Smith…..SEG usually takes them out sooner and good job by Smith to hang in….SEG has blown them out several times, but Smith is hanging in there….Must be starting to play like some of those old Derrick Johnson ball teams from the past…..

Sometimes we assume things on the way in and when we assume, well you know the rest of that story….
