Game Report on Eastern Guilford at Page tonight with Wildcats winners, 16-6

In a non conference match up the Wildcats travel to Page for an evening game. Starting pitchers were Luke Robinson for Eastern and Jordan Putnam for Page. In the top of the 1st Eastern capitalizes on 3 walks and an error to score 3 runs. Ryan Hackett would score the first on a wild pitch and Jordan Rohrer would drive in Caleb & Luke Robinson on a single. Brandon Nail would lead off the bottom of the inning with a triple. Then Jordan Putnam would take a walk before Luke Robinson would settle down and strike out the next 3 batters. Eastern would go down 3 up 3 down in the 2nd and Page would strike for 5 runs in the bottom of the 2nd. Robinson would get the first out and give up a single and would have to leave do to an injury. Austin Koonce would come in in relief. Page would score one before Koonce would load the bases. Nic Schofield would clear the bases with a grand slam putting Page up 5-3 after 2 innings. Both teams would do nothing in the 3rd and 4th innings. Eastern would come up in the top of the 5th and Andrew Robinson would single and steal 2nd then Caleb Robinson would drive him in with an RBI double. Luke Robinson would follow up with an RBI single to tie the game at 5-5. Schofield would draw a lead off walk and steal 2nd and advance to 3rd on a throwing error. With the infield drawn in Andrew Lamore would single home Schofield to go back up 6-5 after 5 innings. Stanford Shell would then come in to relieve Putnam. and would give up 3 runs in the top of the 6th on a walk, error and an RBI single by Andrew Robinson. Schofield would come in to pitch and got an RBI groundout by Caleb Robinson and then a 2 RBI single by Hunter Ballard. Eastern would go to Andrew Robinson in the 6th to save the 9-6 lead. Andrew Robinson would get a ground out and 2 K’s to hold the 3 run lead. Page would then give the ball to Troy Lake and he would give up 7 run in the 7th inning. a leadoff single from Drew Clapp would then be bunted over to 2nd. Then Hackett would reach on an error. Andrew Robinson would get an RBI single next. Caleb Robinson would get another RBI single. Then a couple walks to load the bases and then Eastern would send up Austin Flowers who would deliver a grand slam of his own over the centerfield fence. Andrew Robinson would slam the door shut in the 7th with 2 more K’s and a groundout. Eastern Guilford wins 16-6
