GC Men’s Golf Sits in Fourth After 36 Holes at USA South Championship

The Greensboro College men’s golf team sits in fourth place (313-304) for a team score of 617 after day two of the USA South Championship tournament. The Pride fired their lowest round of the tournament so far, with a team round of 304, nine strokes behind first place LaGrangetrail the leader LaGrange.

Chris Cox leads the Pride golfers after 36 holes of play with a two day score of 153 (77-76), which places him in a tie for sixth place individually . John Grimes scored the low round of the day with three over par 75, and is tied for 14th overall.

Gregory Pappas shot his second consecutive round of 77 for a score of 154 overall. Scott Novicki (81-76) and Nick Peoples (78-79) round out The Pride golfers with a total score of 157.

Greensboro will hit the course tomorrow morning for the final day of the tournament at Benvenue Country Club in Rocky Mount, NC.
