Game Report on Eastern Guilford-Southwestern Randolph baseball from Wednesday evening

Eastern Guilford would travel to Southwest Randolph and come away with a win 14-5. Eastern would come out swinging and score 3 in the top of the first on a single by Ryan Hackett and Andrew Robinson. Caleb Robinson would come up and get a 2 run double. He would be moved over on a ground out and score on Hunter Ballard’s ground out to second. Marque Johnson would get the start on the mound for Eastern and he would throw 3 strong shut out innings. In the 2nd inning for Eastern DH Austin Flowers would draw a walk and Hackett would get a walk and then Andrew Robinson would drive home another run on a double. Eastern and Southwest would go quietly in the 3rd. In the 4th Eastern would strike for 3 more runs on a walk by Hackett, then a single by Andrew Robinson. Caleb Robinson would plate both of them on a double. Caleb would move to third on a passed ball and score on a groundout. With the score 7-0 going into the bottom of the 4th Southwest would get to Johnson and score 5 runs in the inning. Dawson Cagle would lead off with a single then Johnson would get a pop fly out. Then Southwest would get 4 hits in a row by Landon Davis, Trenton Dilkinson, Sam Adams, and Reece Daniel. Adams would be a 2 run double then Reece Daniels would also be an RBI. Bryson Cranford would get an RBI groundout. Austin Koonce would come into a save situation only up 7-5 and get the final 2 outs of the inning. The Wildcats would answer back in the 5th on a RBI double by Ryan Hackett and a 2 run single from Andrew Robinson. Caleb Robinson would come up and get hit by a pitch then Luke Robinson would get a 2 run single to put the Eastern up 12-5. Austin Koonce would shut down Southwest Randolph the rest of the way and Eastern would tack on 2 more runs in the 7th on a single by Andrew Robinson who would move up on a wild pitch then Caleb Robinson would drive him in on another single then brother Luke Robinson would get an RBI double to finish the scoring.
