Game Report on Eastern Alamance-Eastern Guilford Tonight

Courtesy of Danny Robinson, tracking and scoring Eastern Guilford Baseball for 2013….

Eastern Guilford travels to Eastern Alamance for a Mid State 3A conference match. This was also senior night for EA and they would give the ball to their ace Zack Littell. The Wildcats would hand the ball to their ace Caleb Robinson. This was a well pitched game by both and would come down to Eastern Alamance making their plays and Littell just blowing balls by the Wildcats. In the first inning the Wildcats would go in order with 2 of Littells 14 K’s. Eastern Alamance would get 1 run in the first on a lead off single from Littell. A wild pitch would move him to 2nd and then a throwing error would score him. Robinson would get the next 3 batters with 2 K’s of his own. Luke Robinson would break up the no hit bid in the 4th. Both pitchers would be strong for the rest of the game until Eastern Alamance would get another run in the bottom of the 6th. Again, errors would plague Eastern Guilford committing back to back errors after a single. Another tough loss for the Wildcats. Littell was very good on the mound going 7 innings giving up 3 hits and 14 K’s
